Skyrail prides itself on being as universally inclusive and easily accessible as possible, for people of all ages and abilities.

Wheelchair access

Skyrail caters for wheelchair and mobility impaired passengers:

  • The cableway can be slowed or stopped to allow for easy, stress-free access onto and off the Skyrail gondolas, with assistance from a friendly Skyrail operator.
  • Access is available to all areas of the Skyrail experience via ramps.
  • Wheelchair accessible restrooms throughout the entire experience.

Wheelchair access on bus transfers

Wheelchairs cannot be carried on our bus transfer service. However, at the time of booking, please advise us if you require this service and we will make alternative arrangements.

 

Skyrail can accommodate most standard wheelchairs. However, due to size restrictions and loading requirements, personal wheelchairs are required to have the following:

  • Width – cannot exceed 630mm.
  • Length – cannot exceed 950mm.
  • Combined weight of the wheelchair and occupant must be manageable to allow for operator-assisted loading.

Complimentary wheelchairs

Skyrail can provide complimentary onsite use of a wheelchair, subject to availability.

Companion Card

Skyrail is pleased to provide support to Companion Card holders.

Please ensure you ask about the Companion Card program when booking your tickets with our Reservations Team (these cannot be booked online).

Skyrail Rainforest Cableway has invested a significant amount of resources to help ensure that its website is made easier to use and more accessible for everybody, with the strong belief that every person has the right to live with dignity, equality, comfort and independence.

Accessibility on Skyrail.com.au
Skyrail.com.au makes available a Website Accessibility Widget that is powered by a dedicated accessibility server. The software allows Skyrail.com.au to improve its compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) whilst work continues on building accessibility compliance into the website ecosystem itself.

The Skyrail.com.au accessibility menu can be enabled either by hitting the tab key when the page first loads or by clicking the accessibility menu icon that appears on the corner of the page.
